Retirement

Kay Hollingsworth retired in 1992 and enjoyed travelling with her husband, Pren, to many states and Canada.  She never stopped being an artist.  She had a natural gift for interior decoration and it benefitted her family and friends on many occasions.  Her favourite hobbies were word games, especially scrabble and crossword puzzles.

Career

Kay Hollingsworth began her career as an executive secretary when her children were teenagers.  She worked for several years at St.  Mark’s School of Texas but spent the majority of her career at American National Insurance, where her expertise and talents were keenly appreciated.

Early life

Kay was born in Norman, Oklahoma and raised in Britton, which now is part of Oklahoma City, and was an academic star at Britton High School.  She spent what would have been her senior year at Cottey College in Missouri.   When she returned at the end of the year she graduated Britton High School and spent the next year at Oklahoma University, where she met and married her soul-mate, Pren Hollingsworth.  They raised their three children in Oklahoma and Dallas, Texas.
