Born in Britton, she was a member of St. John's Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband, Harry C., Sr., and a son.

HOLLOWAY, WILLIAM, 73 years old, Britton, pioneer and '89er of Oklahoma died at his home Friday. Services will be held from the Watts and McAtee chapel Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial is in Britton. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Miss Ora Holloway and Mrs. Harry Williams, Britton. Four sons, Harry Holloway, Edmond; Will Holloway, Portsmouth, Va.; and Roy Holloway, home address.

William made the 1889 land run and claimed the Spring Creek Township section NE 21-13-4 (which is now south west of the corner of NW 122nd and MacArthur). William was born in Ohio, Jul 1858, the son of John L. Holloway and Martha Buntain. He was married to Hannah Blaney (whose brother also made the run). Hannah was also born in Ohio, Feb 1864, the daughter of William Blaney and Margaret Mobley. William and Hannah are buried in the Britton cemetery.

Harvey Lewis Holloway, 67, of 509 E Boeing, chief of air conditioning and refrigeration in the installation division at Tinker Air Force Base, died Wednesday in Wesley Hospital.
Services till be at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Wickline Methodist Church. Burial will be Arlington Memorial Cemetery. Holloway was born near Edmond and lived in the Oklahoma City area most of his life. From 1935 to 1944 he lived in Woodward.
He was in the air conditioning and refrigeration business. For the last 15 years he worked at Tinker AFB. He was a veteran of World War I, 179th Infantry of the 90th division. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Midwest City American Legion Post.
A member of Wickline Methodist Church, he served on the finance committee and the official board. He was a past president of Methodist Men's Club.
Surviving are his wife, Bertha Blanche, of the home; three brothers, Harry C., 1128 NE 18' Bill NW of city, and Roy 4432 NW 63, and two sisters, Mrs. Dora Williams and Miss Ora Holloway, both of 744 NW 91.

A retired farmer, Bednar was bon in Czechoslovakia, and came to Oklahoma as a child. His father homesteaded the land on which he resided.

Mrs. Mary M. Brown, 516 North Choctaw, died at her home Thursday night following a five months illness.
Mrs. Brown, born March 25, 1885, in Czechoslovakia, moved to KS in 1887 and came to Oklahoma in 1890, living near Britton and Bethany until she came to Canadian county in 1931. She made her home northwest of El Reno until 1945, when she moved to Tuttle. She returned to El Reno in May this year. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic church, the Rebekah lodge, and was a charter member and past president of the Reno Valley home demonstration club. Survivors include her husband, E. B. Brown, of the home; six daughters, Mrs.
Frank Henderson, 1200 West London, Mrs. Kenneth Goodman, Yukon Route 1; Mrs. Ralph Royse, Jr., El Reno Route 3, Mrs. Leroy T. Clark, Fort Worth, Tex. , Mrs. Gerald Thompson, 802 South Williams, and Mrs. Vincent C. Funeral services for Elbert B Brown, El Reno, who died Thursday evening at Okarche Memorial Hospital, were held Saturday in Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev Jack King, Midwest City, officiating. Burial was in El Reno Cemetery. Mr. Brown was born Jan 18, 1885, at Mountain Grove, Mo. He moved to western Oklahoma in 1897 and had resided in the Bethany, Tuttle and Edmond areas while moving to Canadian County in 1931. He had lived in El Reno since 1959 and was a retired farmer. He was a member of the IOOF and Rebekah lodges. Survivors are six daughters, Mrs. Frank T. Henderson, 1200 1/2 West London, Mrs. Ralph Royce, El Reno Route Three, Mrs. Kenneth Goodman, Yukon, Mrs. Leroy T. Clark and Mrs. Vincent C. The Elbert-Mary Brown Family
Elbert Bertram Brown was born Jan 18 1885 in Mountain Grove, Mo. His grandfather, John Willy Brown (1840-1919), was a Baptist preacher. His father, John Wesley Brown (1863-1915), was a farmer, who moved his family from Missouri to Britton, Okla. in 1897. Elbert followed in his father's footsteps and became a farmer. On June 14, 1909 he married Mary Magdalene Bednar in Oklahoma City. They farmed near Bethany. Mary, born March 25, 1885 had come to America from Czechoslovakia with her parents in 1887. Her family settled first in KS and then in 1890 they moved by covered wagon to a farm near Britton, and lived in a dugout for several years.
The couple had 7 children. Gertrude Marie (1910-1984), Mary Evalena (1913), Joseph Raymond (1916), Rubye Mae (1920), Anna Belle (1922), Margaret Hettie (1925), and Betty Jean (1927). The family was living in Bethany during the devastating tornado of 1930. In 1931 they bought 80 acres in Canadian County on Darlington Road, 1 mile west
of US Highway 81. The 4 youngest daughters attended Reno School and graduated from El Reno High School, where Anna Belle was the football queen one year. The 3 youngest daughters are married and live in Arlington, Tex. Lena and Rubye each married Canadian County farmers, and still live in the county. Lena married Kenneth Goodman of Yukon, and Rubye married Ralph Royce of El Reno, Son Ray and his wife Irene live in El Reno. Gertrude married Frank Henderson, a naval officer, and following his retirement they returned to live in El Reno
until Gertrude's death in 1984. Elbert was a member of the IOOF and Rebekah lodges. Mary was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Rebekah Lodge and was a charter member and past president of the Reno Valley Home Demonstration Club. The couple moved to a farm at Tuttle in 1945, and returned to El Reno in 1959
shortly before Mary's death, Sept 3. Elbert died March 13, 1969. They are buried in El Reno Cemetery.

WILLIAM H. BLANEY
EDMOND--Services are pending at the Baggerly Funeral home for William H. Blaney, 83, of Jones, who died Sunday afternoon in the home of his son, Frank Blaney, 3833 NW 26, Oklahoma City.
Born in Independence, Kan., he moved to Bethany in 1889, later moving to Jones where he has lived for 30 year. He was a member of the Jones First Christian church, and a retired farmer.
Survivors are his wife, Nora, of the home; one other son, Harvey Blaney, 1710 NW 17, Oklahoma City; four daughters, Mrs. Lizzie Bauches, McLoud; Mrs. Katie Taylor, Visailia, Calif.; Mrs. Mary Petchisky, Jones, and Mrs. Ruby Ablang, San Maria, Calif.

EDMOND--Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the First Christian church at Jones for William H. Blaney, 83, of Jones.
Burial will be in the IOOF cemetery at Jones under direction of Baggerley Funeral home.

Services for Mrs. Mary E. Blaney, 65 years old, of Jones, will be in the Christian church in Jones at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in the Jones Cemetery. Mrs. Blaney who died at her farm home Saturday was the wife of W. H. Blaney, pioneer citizen of Jones.
