Harvey, 76 of Okc passed away Sat. He was a resident of Okc since 1952, coming from Westville, Ok. He retired from the Kansas City Southern Railroad after 18 years as a bridge builder. He was a member of the Summers Baptist Church in Summers, Ark. Survivors include his wife, Mary of the home. 3 sons; 4 daughters; 3 brothers; 1 sister, 13 grandchildren & 3 great grandchildren. Services will be Tuesday, 10am at the Roberts Funeral Home, Westville, Ok., with interment in the Baptist Mission Cemetery, Westville, Ok. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Friends may call at Vondel L. Smith & Sons Mortuary until 2pm Monday

Mary Elva (Jones) Chadwell, 97, of Oklahoma City, Okla., died Monday, May 28, 2007. Born Jan. 21, 1910, at Summers, Ark., she was a daughter of Thomas Arthur and Mary Frances (Barber) Jones. She graduated from high school at Cane Hill, Ark., and attended college at Fayetteville, Ark., and Tahlequah, Okla. In 1943 she began teaching all grades in a one-room schoolhouse in Adair County, Okla. She moved to Oklahoma City in 1952 and became secretary at Jackson Junior High School. In 1954 she became secretary at Capitol Hill Senior High School until her retirement in 1974. She was a member of Oklahoma City Association of Education Secretaries, a life member of the Oklahoma Association of Education Secretaries and the National Association of Education Office Professionals. She was a longtime member of South Lindsay Baptist Church, the TEL Sunday school class, The Young at Heart and Jolly Elders. She married Harvey Chadwell in 1933 and they spent 49 years together until his death in 1982. She was preceded in death by her parents; three children, Marilyn B., Wenzell L. and Cecil D. Chadwell; 10 siblings, Alice Campbell, Anna Chadwell, Ethel Freedle, Ruth Freedle, John, Samuel, Theadore, McKinney Jones and twin boys, one who died at birth and the other, Thomas, who died at 6 months. Survivors include four daughters; two sons; three siblings; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great great-grandchildren. Services to celebrate her life will be 10 a.m. Thursday, May 31, 2007, at South Lindsay Baptist Church. Burial will be 4 p.m. Thursday at Baptist Mission Cemetery in Westville.

   Services for Cecil Chadwell, 21, of 1037 SW 33 will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday in Vondel L. Smith Mortuary with burial at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Baptist Mission Cemetery, Westville. He died Monday in Oklahoma. He was born at Westville, and moved to Oklahoma City in 1952. He was graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1965 and entered the U. S. Army in 1966. He served one year in Vietnam, and sponsored a Vietnamese orphanage while there. He was discharged July 4, 1968, as a sergeant. He was a member of the Exchange Avenue Baptist Church.
