Garrison funeral home. Burial will be in Olive Hill cemetery. Mrs. Duffy died
at 4:50 P. m. Wednesday in Robertson rest home, 1219 NW 8, of pneumonia. She had
been ill 20 days. An Oklahoma resident 30 years, Mrs. Duffy came to Oklahoma City in 1929.
She was born March 8, 1882 in Olive Branch, Miss., and lived later in Illinois.
Mrs. Duffy was a member of the Baptist church.

- Mrs. Alice L. Stone, 78, of 6100 NW 50, died in her home early Thursday following an
illness of two months. Born in Olive Branch, Miss., Mrs. Stone moved here in 1912. She was married to O. C.
Stone, a retired Baptist minister. She was a member of Olivet Baptist church and was
active in church circle work until three years ago. In addition to her husband, she is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Thelma Goodman,
Britton; Mrs. Alma Pease, Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. Ruby Wright, 205 NE 12, and Mrs.
Poyntz Haskins, Dallas; a son, John Oliver "Bud" Stone, NW Douglas Boulevard,
and three grandchildren.

- Rev. Stone, 83, Retired Baptist Minister, Dies
- Rev. Olive Claude Stone, 83-year-old retired Baptist minister, died at his home, 6112 NW 50, Monday after an illness of three years. Services are pending at Garrison funeral home.
Mr. Stone had been an ordained minister since he was about 24 years old, and had preached at missions in the vicinity of Oklahoma City for many years. He was ordained in
Memphis, Tenn. Born in Taney county, Mo., Mr. Stone came to Oklahoma 42 years ago. He was a member of
Olivet Baptist church. His wife, Alice, died in 1952. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Harry Goodman, 6100 NW 50; Mrs. Alma Pease, Glendale,
Calif.; Mrs. Ruby Wright, 1427 NE 28, and Mrs. Audrey "Todie" Haskins, of the
home; a son, John "Bud" Stone, Whittier, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Mollie
Butcher, and Mrs. Julia Hoke, both of Springfield, MO., and three grandchildren.

- Milton J. Roberts, 69, died early Friday in the home of his sister, Mrs. Alice L. Stone,
6100 NW 50, Heart disease was the cause of death. Roberts, a veteran of World War I, was born in Olive Branch, Miss., and reared in
Mississippi and Tennessee. He had lived in Oklahoma City for the past eight years. An upholsterer and antique specialist, Roberts at one time operated a shop in Pueblo,
Colo. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and Post 35 of the American Legion. Funeral services and burial will be Sunday in Pleasant Hill Mo., Garrison funeral home
is in charge of local arrangements. Mrs. Stone is the only survivor.
